Bush Declares Iowa/Missouri Disaster Areas:Doing his job as president, Bush seeks to help midwest residents caught in endless floods...now, who will help the rest of us Americans as we have declared 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue a disaster area?

Puppets Make All The Dough:Although his reputation as a 'maverick' is somewhat a faded memory, John McCain just can't escape that image to one that is solidly matched to George W. Bush: a puppet of corporate America & special interests...which is why McCain cannot match Bush as a fundraiser...corporate America got everything it wanted from Bush (he never vetoed a spending bill until the Democrats took power)...McCain comes to Cincy today to a Lindner function that will help out with money but it won't be like the Bush era...a time which ends with endless war, debt & a screwing of citizens they won't soon forget...the good old days of the Bush years will, unfortunately, be with us for years to come...

Don't Mess With A Kentucky Boy:Wesley N. Higdon was mad & dagnabit, he just wasn't puttin' up with no boss tellin' him what to do....so, he just up & shot that dang dude...& 4 other workers...& then Wesley decided, correctly, that his chances for a promotion were just not that good & shot himself...just another day in Henderson, KY....Wes kept a gun in his car, legal in KY...& it ended up comin' in handy....

The Magic of Baseball:Bronson Arroyo is a bust...but thanks to Big mouth Bob Castellini who had the wisdom to hire a complete incompetent boob like Wayne Krivsky...(the moron who gave Arroyo a contract extention which gives him $9 million next season)...Krivsky was fired after the damage was done only to be hired recently by the Mets...proving that you need no talent in baseball to become a millionaire...that explains alot about baseball & America in general where incompetence is rewarded (look at the Bush administration)

The Iraq War Is Over:Those words spoken by WLW's Mike McConnell...who stated that Bush successfully fought & won the war...i bet the families of the 9 soldiers who were killed this week would have liked to have known about this great victory....

McCain Plays The Fear Card, Early:Charlie Black, a McCain aide let it out that playing the terrorism gimmick was a way to gain points over Obama...it's an old trick & it will work again as most of the American electorate are ignorant fools who can always be taken for (another) ride...& with Bush on their side, all they need to do is ask for a ginned up intelligence alert...coming soon to a TV & radio near you....

The United States of Ineptness:Much of America's problems could have been averted with some progressive forthought & common sense but we've become fat, lazy & wallow in crisis management...if you want to see how far we've slid, remember the America at the beginning of the last century (America's Century)...when Teddy Roosevelt, a visionary, set the tone for the next 100 years & put our country on the road to great success...not that our current problems are all George Bush's fault but he is the wrong man at the wrong time & our entry into the new millenium has been ground to a halt until new leadership & ideas can be planted, encouraged & a climate of reinvestment in America can begin...one that can forsee problems before they overwhelm us & policies that can benefit all Americans & not just the upper 1 %.....

Obama'a Polling Problems:By now, as the confirmed Democratic nominee, Barack Obama should be kicking McCain's ass in the polls but he is not...they're almost tied...that is the essential problem for Obama...it's either the Race, the name or both but even inexperience could be not as important when the Republican track record over the past 8 years is so dismal...JFK had a similar problem although he had been in government (including being a war hero) for as long as Nixon, who appeared older & more experienced because of his VP role in the 50's...JFK overcame any problems because he was charming & had great speaking skills...even his Catholothism was a problem but race & a Muslim sounding name may be a barrier incapable of overcoming...

All Russert, All The Time:Tim Russert's death is a tragedy but NBC, MSNBC can't seem to get over it...they inevitably end up in daily discussions about Russert & what a great guy he was....which is true...but after awhile, the stories begin to start over again...but when you have a network & a 24/7 schedule & one of your top stars dies unexpectably, this is what you get...watch for Russert books to come...with titles like: "Russert & Me...My Pal For Life"...."Little Russ-A Big Man"..."My time with Russ"...

McCain On Rite Track with Drilling:...John McCain was on the right track politically to call for offshore drilling...leaving it up to states is the correct way to do it & whether it happens or not, it's what the people want...this is another place (besides defense) where the Democrats will blow it...being pro-environment is all well & good but the spotted owl looses out when $4.00 a gallon gasoline becomes the norm..

Obama Speaks The Truth:On father's day, Barack Obama told all at a Black church about taking care of the children they produce...a pragmatic & assertive way to speak about that which ails America & the Black community...something better spoken about from a Black guy.....McCain is so old school all he talked about today was his 'town hall meetings'...it's becoming his mantra because he such a lousy speaker & debater...it will a snoozefest if this old fart gets elected...

Ted Koppel For Meet The Press:Yes,...it may be too early to contemplate a replacement (although NBC is already thinking about it) but Ted Koppel is a great choice...he's experienced, has the seasoned ability & can interview well...NBC will probably blow this & give it to someone else not worthy of a position that Russert brought back to life after years of boring seasons...look for NBC to go for current personnel choice, probably an uninspired one like David Gregory...

The Pathetic Road To Save Gas:There have been some people popping up around America selling themselves as experts on saving gas...like cruising through stopsigns, turning off your engine when going downhill & driving like a senior citizen is worth a few gallons...what this is, is a sad commentary on a once great country, reduced to begging Arabs for more oil output, deciding over gas or food & risking your life by reckless driving habits to save a gallon or two...

Gas Scam:As people use less gas, the price basically remains the same or goes up...there's no rhyme or reason to this spike except a greed of historic proportions..

Obama Rips McCain A New One:...Obama, eloquent & forceful, sliced up John McCain like a christmas goose last night...& this will be fun to watch no matter who ultimately wins...McCain, meanwhile, cannot give a speech to save his life...& what's worse, he can't utilize humore very well when it's pre-staged as he tried to use Obama's line about "Change"...& put forth this creepy chuckle that was so rehearsed, hesounded like a moron....the differences between these two guys is stark: age, ideas, rhetorical ability & yes...color..McCain is stark white...almost the invisable man & Obama...well, we know what color he is all too well thanks to the media...
